About Dr. Vincent

W. Kelly Vincent, M.D. is a Board Certified Family Practice physician and Addictionologist practicing for over 25 plus years.  Dr. Vincent is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center.   Dr. Vincent is also Board Certified in Addictionology through the American Board of Preventative Medicine.  He currently practices as an Addictionologist for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorders at all A New Start Clinics.

Donna Welborn, APRN is a nurse practitioner with several years of experience in addiction medicine. Donna obtained her MSN degree from Murray State University and began her career in family practice prior to specializing in addiction medicine.  She is known most for the compassion and respect she extends to her patients. 

Carson Teague, APRN

About Carson Teague

Carson Teague, MSN, APRN attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005.  She worked on the Burn/Trauma Unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN for five years before transitioning into Adult ICU float pool where she cared for patients in cardiovascular, trauma, burn, medical, and surgical intensive care units.  She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in December 2014 and has been practicing in primary care since 2015.

About Denise Sparks

Denise H. Sparks, APRN is a family nurse practitioner with specialty training in dermatology and addiction medicine. She obtained a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky in 1995. Denise has had a successful career as an advanced practice nurse for 25 years and is currently employed by A New Start in Central City, Ky.

About Dr. Malik

Tariq Malik, M.D. is an Internal Medicine specialist for over 20 plus years.  Dr. Malik is a graduate of Jinnah Sindh Medical College and completed residency at The Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.  He has a long history of providing services in the Emergency Department and now practices Addiction Medicine at A New Start in both Central City and Henderson, KY.

Dr. Malik has a vast knowledge and wealth of experience in Addiction Medicine (Substance Use Disorder). We invite all of Dr. Malik’s former patients to come see him in his new location in Henderson, KY. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Malik to A New Start.
